ASCOM CITY

	First stop, Kimpo Air Base. At Kimpo we were welcomed with a gamma globulin(GG) Shot Second stop, Ascom City. Junior soldiers did not get pinpoint assignments. They were processed through the replacement battalions.
	Ascom City was not exactly Shangrila. The sergeants there warned us about the "slicky boys". They told us they were so slick they could steal a radio and leave the music behind. It wasn't too far from the truth.
	The infamous slots. They were ubiquitous in Korea. I saw my first slots at Ascom City.
