I served with the 7th Inf Div 17th Mech. Inf. at Camp Kaiser, Korea from 1964 to 1965. I was assigned to Hq&Hq co. radar section. We would perform security duty on the DMZ with the ROK. When I was there we had to remove any insignia of rank from our uniform and would go up the OP just before the sun set and leave just before the sun came up. We were also adivsed that if captured we would be listed as awol. Camp Kaiser was located in the village of Un Chon Ni and now I understand the the ROK has taken it over as of 1970 when the 7th Div was reassigned back to the states.
